The initial entry is copied almost verbatum from an online thesis, but I received FULL permission to copy-left it here.

I have tidied up this page and added links, but I believe there are still a few problems :-

  1. I think the article's name should be graftal.
  2. A graftal seems to be a very similar (maybe identical) concept to an L-system - although the stochastic and parametric variations may add some value.
  3. I can find very few references to a graftal (and one was a copy of this article !) so I am not convinced that this term is in general use - but maybe it is a valid neologism. Interestingly, graphtal is a freeware tool for manipulating L-systems.

I will leave it to more experienced wikipedians to decide what else needs to be done here ! - Gandalf61 17:21, Nov 14, 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Proposed merger with L-system

This article should probably be merged with L-system since it seems to describe more or less the same thing. Please add your comments to the discussion on the L-system talk page. -- Sakurambo 桜ん坊 14:15, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Where did the images go?

Where did the images go? The explanation doesn't make nearly as much sense without them. I made them myself, when I wrote up this article (almost 10 years ago now? sheesh. I feel old.), to be sure there weren't any copyright violations. But they disappeared anyway???? Also, I agree with merging this page with L-System. It's two different terms for the same thing, and I think L-System is the more "proper" one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.163.214.13 (talk) 21:21, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
