Grayvoron (Russian: Гра́йворон) is a town in Belgorod Oblast, Russia, located on the shores of the Vorskla (a tributary of the Dnieper) and Grayvoronka Rivers. It is the administrtative center of Grayvoronsky District. Population: 6,000 (2005 est.);[citation needed] 6,196 (2002 Census);[1] 5,992 (1989 Census).[2]

Grayvoron sloboda was founded on August 5, 1678. The settlement was granted town status in 1838. It is the birth place of the Russian engineer and inventor Vladimir Shukhov.
