Grant Middle School

Grant Middle School is an ethnically diverse school with nearly 40% population being transfer students from outside the school boundaries. It is home to two special education programs called the Behavior Intervention Program (BIP), and the district Traumatic Brain Injury Program (TBI). The enrollment for 2006-07 was 749 students in general education programs, approximately 89 neighborhood half to full day special education programs, and 25 in our Behavior Intervention program.Grant Middle School has been a Community Center Site for 10 years. Grant has recently been awarded a $20,000,000 grant (with 4 other New Mexico schools) and also became a recipient of the citizen schools[1] national mentorship site.
