Grand Vision

The French based company Grand Vision operates over 550 opticians under various brands (including the UK's [Vision Express] in 11 European countries, 212 Photo Chain photographic equipment stores, and 215 Photo Service stores, selling and developing film, etc. [1]. The company is publicly quoted on the Paris Bourse.

- 1981: Launched as Fotofast in Paris, offering one-hour film processing.
- 1989: Company opens opticians with one-hour service
- 1991: A Grand Optical store opens on the Champs
- 1993: Company is again renamed, .
- 1994: Company goes public as "Grand Optical Photoservice" on the Paris exchange.
- 1997: Company acquires Vision Express and is renamed "Grand Optical", emphasizing its main focus has switched to its optical business.
