Grand River Sachem

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Grand River Sachem is the oldest noted newspaper in Haldimand and Norfolk counties. It started in 1838 and is still publishing newspapers in the same place it used to. The sachem is not haunted but has had lots of renovations and rebuilds which have caused the findings of over 25 ancient newspapers that date back to the second edition of the Grand River Sachem. The Grand River Sachem cost 5 cents back in the day and in or around the 1920's it was changed to 50 cents, then in the 60's to 15$ every month, the sachem is now a free paper delivered once a week.
