Grand Mere State Park

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Grand Mere State Park is a state park in Michigan. It is located adjacent to I-94 and is mostly wooded. The park has many walking trails and biking on the trails is prohibited. The trail conditions vary from loose sand to hard packed dirt. There are lots of hills including a large sand dune that was used for off road vehicles many years ago. Access to the dune by large four wheeled vehicles has been blocked with guard rails.

During the summer, expect to find many deer flies and mosquitos. The deer flies make walking through the woods almost unbearable at times.
