  • The former Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol of Paris, which specialized in grisly horror shows.
  • By extension, any gruesome or gory drama or staged event. Also applied by extension to real gruesome or tension-filled events.
  • Grand Guignol is an album by John Zorn's avant-garde jazz band Naked City.
  • "Le Grand Guignol" is a song by Soft Cell.
  • "Grand Guignol" is the title of a storyline in the comic book series Starman, in which many of the plot points from the first sixty issues of the title were resolved.
  • The band Bloodsucking Zombies From Outer Space released an album titled A Night At Grand Guignol which features a track by the same name.
