Grand Drive are a group led by brothers Danny and Julian Wilson. Born in Australia, they were brought up in South London but their music is distinctly tinged by American music.

Surprisingly for a white British guitar band they have a significant following in the black urban community in both England the United States. Suge Knight is known to be a big fan of the band and at one point tried to poach them for Death Row records. Grand Drive's first single 'Tell it like it is' gained a certain level of notoriety as it was revealed to be the song Tupac Shakur and his entourage were listening to in their limo in Las Vegas at the moment he was shot. Tupac's former black panther mother invited the band to attend his funeral but they were unable to attend due to studio commitments and instead sent a wreath.
