The Grand Central Hotel is a proposed 61-story, 2,500-room hotel and casino to be located in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada near the Union Park development. It is being developed by the Merrill Group and developer Craig Katchen and still awaits city approval.[1]
If built, the Grand Central would be the fourth-tallest building in the Las Vegas metropolitan area at 700 feet[2]behind the Stratosphere, World Jewelry Center and the Fontainebleau Resort Hotel.
The resort would be situated on the northeast corner of Charleston Boulevard and Grand Central Parkway[3] and aimed at drawing customers from the World Market Center.
The project would also include 11,100 square feet of retail and a 260,000-square-foot convention center.
