Grand Blanc is a suburb of Flint in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 8,242 at the 2000 census with a projection of 7,806 in 2006. This decline in population and Grand Blanc Charter Township's massive increase over the same time period may indicate that residents of the city and surrounding areas are migrating to the township. The city is situated within Grand Blanc Charter Township, but is politically independent. A May 2006 vote ended governmental research into a plan to consolidate the city and township governments.

The local public high school is Grand Blanc Community High School which is represented by a Bobcat mascot.
