Grainger Hines, born in Greenwood, South Carolina, is an American actor, writer, producer, and director, playing in such television series shows as CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Las Vegas, Saving Grace, Ghost Whisperer, In the Heat of the Night, Airwolf, Star Trek: The Next Generation and many others. He has appeared in numerous films such as Protocol, Innerspace, Rocky II and many more. Hines also was in the mini-series, War and Remembrance and The Alamo: 13 Days to Glory. Hines made his New York stage debut in Valentine Day directed by Horton Foote and has appeared in many plays in New York and Los Angeles. He was once a member of the musical group The Swingin' Medallions. Hines was once married to Michelle Phillips, most notable as being a singer for The Mamas & the Papas and the mother of Chynna Phillips. Hines has two sons, actor Austin Hines whose mother is Michelle Phillips and Gray Hines whose mother is Ruth Lovie Coleman. [1]
