Graham Beecroft

Graham 'Beeky' Beecroft is a British radio personality currently working on Century Radio 105.4.He lives in the Wirral, near Liverpool. He is a former Quantity Surveyor and mobile disco DJ. He supports Liverpool F.C..

At talkSPORT, he came to co-present The Sports Breakfast after Mike Parry’s heart problems. On the 3rd of August 2007, Graham presented his final regular edition of The Sports Breakfast. He will however continue to work for talkSPORT by covering for presenters who take the wrong cough medicine at the Cheltenham Festival and by reporting on Premiership matches in the north west of England.

In 2006, Beecroft had an on-air row with fellow presenter Jon Gaunt on talkSPORT, after pointing out that two of Gaunt's three Sony awards were not won by him personally. Gaunt took particular exception to this and proceeded to shout down Beecroft in the style in which he overrules callers who disagree with him. As a result of this, Beecroft gained a hero status amongst sections of talkSPORT's listenership.[citation needed]

Graham is a former sports editor at both BBC Radio Merseyside and Radio City in Liverpool and reported live on Everton and Liverpool's successes during the '80s and '90s. He was present at both the Heysel and Hillsborough disasters.

Since finishing up on the Breakfast show, as well as broadcasting, he now also lectures in media and broadcasting at the University of Liverpool.and hosts the quiz show, The Five Grand Fans on 105.4 Century Radio.
