Graeme Gilbert

Graeme Gilbert is an Australian host of nightly radio program Talk Tonight With Graeme Gilbert on Sydney station 2SM. He has in the past worked for 2CC,[1] which nominated him to the Quarter Century Club in 1996, an honour for his "commitment and dedication after 25 years or more in the radio industry in Australia".[2]

On May 15, 2006 his program was barraged by prank calls by members of the public saying the answer is "India". A fake Myspace site has been made to encourage people to call in and the story was picked up by Media Watch.[3] The video has been featured on Break.com. On Wednesday, September 12 his program was again bombarded by a series of callers all saying 'the answer is India' to a question he asked as part of his nighly quiz.

Graeme Gilbert is quoted from as an example of talk back radio in the book, Making Radio: A Practical Guide to Working in Radio[4] and has reputedly won awards for broadcast journalism. In 2000 he was a finalist in the Australian Commercial Radio Awards (Rawards), for Best Talk Personality (Provincial) and Best Current Affairs Commentator (Provincial).[5]
