[edit] Notability of Reading Youth
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Reading Youth, by WWGB (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Reading Youth seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Reading Youth, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 06:43, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Unofficial English Premier League Championships
If you are going to add information about this topic to the Premier League article, you need to provide a source. If you do not add one, it will be removed. --Scottmsg 05:01, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] G-Star
A tag has been placed on G-Star, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how G-Star is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:G-Star saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. Lancevortex (talk) 19:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Why I nominated G-Star for deletion
I didn't delete the article (only an admin can do that), but I did nominate it for deletion. The reason is given above, but to clarify: the article had already, by consensus, been speedily deleted. See also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/G-Star for the discussion on why it was deleted in the first place. It is not acceptable to recreate a speedily deleted article without making changes to make it worthy for inclusion in an encyclopedia.
As well as that, the article was full of untruths. The "Kennet Award" of which you speak appears to not exist, as the only Google reference to it is the G-Star article itself. The links to this award in the article pointed to something completely different. G-Star has not had a top 50 single. If you dispute this, please point me in the direction of some independent sources. --Lancevortex (talk) 09:05, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] August 2007
- Er, could you explain some of these edits, then? [3], [4], [5], [6], [7]. Where you say you're correcting a spelling error, you're actually introducing one, whether maliciously or accidentally. – Luna Santin (talk) 01:07, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Okay - I admit that i may have been wrong about volenteers, but I have absolutely no idea how the talk pages got edited - and I certainly can't block people! The insult to chairboy is kinda funny (sorry mate, but it is a little bit), but it wasn't me. I have absolutely no idea why these edits have been done - even thougvh they have used my name & pass - and I have no idea who could have done them. To summarise, I have no idea about anything...))
- If that's the case, your account's been comrpomised -- how can we be sure we're talking to "you"? – Luna Santin (talk) 01:22, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, I would say ask me anything, but then how would you know the answer??? Would you think that the best idea would be to create a new account or just hope nobody else gets called a penis?? I still wish to share the vastness of my intellect with other Wiki users, yet am unsure as to what my next move should be. A little help wouldn't go amiss...
- Wikipedia will manage without the vastness of your intellect for 72 hours. When you come back, you're welcome to contribute usefully. If your account really has been compromised, just change your password when you are unblocked- and don't give it to anyone this time. -FisherQueen (Talk) 01:29, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
But what happens if I can't release my knowledge upon the glorious people at Wiki, and the grey matter can't take it? My head might EXPLODE!!! By not relinquishing my ban, you may be assisting in murder / suicide (unsure as to what it would be classed as) and could be liable for prosecution. Also, please spare a thought for my dear mother who would walk in upon hearing a large BANG to find my head on the ceiling with random post-it-notes full of random trivia stuck out of my nostrils. All because I can't vent upon wiki(in a nice, polite, non-vandalitic way). Admins - please have mercy, and stop my mother hurting her back cleaning me up...This is my final plea...PLEA.
- When we make a comment, we always sign it. You can do this by adding four tildes- the code looks like ~~~~. -FisherQueen (Talk) 01:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Sorry - is this better?Gr55tay 01:39, 14 August 2007 (UTC).
- Yes, that's how one signs a post. Now, since you're blocked for several days... go read a book or something. There's a new Harry Potter volume out. -FisherQueen (Talk) 01:42, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mates Alcoholism.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Mates Alcoholism.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 09:11, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
