Grünstadt is a town in the district of Bad Dürkheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the north-eastern edge of the Palatinate forest, approx. 15 km south-west of Worms and 20 km north-west of Ludwigshafen.

Grünstadt was the chef-lieu of the canton of Speyer in the historical French departement of the Mont-Tonnerre.

Grünstadt was and is an important railway hub in Palatinate.


Grünstadt is known for its AAFES bakery. In Grünstadt it is called the depot. (AAFES Depot Grünstadt)
