Grønnebakkan is a part of the City of Harstad (Troms County, Norway) built in the late 70's and mid 80's on a large hill approximately four kilometers from the city centre. The top of the hill was originally meant for government employees to live in, but after a while other people also bought property and settled.
The section that was built in the mid 80's was called "nybyggan" (the new buildings) by the locals until the mid 90's.
Grønnebakkan is known for its panoramic view over the city.
