[edit] Speedy deletion of Peter D. Angevine, M.D.
A tag has been placed on Peter D. Angevine, M.D. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Rudget Contributions 14:58, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Spam warning
The article Pediatric neurosurgery has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. [edit] Medical biography articles
Hello there, the series of articles you have been creating today is probably not appropriate for Wikipedia. Subjects need to be notable and to have that notability verified by an authoritative source which you cite. It's not clear that these doctors meet the criterion of notability: you need to look here and see if in fact they do. Without this, it's likely that your articles may be deleted in the long run. [edit] Another spam warning
Ronald Brisman, M.D. has also been deleted as advertising. Please stop posting these promotional/spam articles on all the doctors at Columbia. See WP:SPAM and WP:BIO. NawlinWiki 15:18, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

I've removed the help request, as you didn't add any questions. Feel free to re-add {{helpme}} to the page but don't forget to add questions underneath it. - Rjd0060 18:52, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Hello, I recently posted the bio of a few Neurosurgeons and it was taken off because it said they were not notable figures, but they are. The are very accomplished and among the best neurosurgeons in the world. How can i post their bio's in a fasion that is acceptable by Wiki standards?
- If you think your subjects are worthy of inclusion, you must prove that they are notable by including reliable sources that verifies this. Also, the articles must be written from a neutral point of view. GlassCobra 18:52, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
