The Gozo national football team, which is not internationally recognized represents the island of Gozo (officially part of Malta) in the Maltese league, and is actually in the local third division. Its squad is formed from players that participate in the Gozo Football League. Since September 28, 2007 it is a member of the NF-Board. Some historic results include the victory over the Malta national football team 4-3 on June 3, 1997. Gozo will be active again at the 2008 VIVA World Cup.[1]
