Government Logistics Department, Hong Kong

Government Logistics Department, Hong Kong is responsible for the printing and publishing of government materials to served government department and agencies, as well as the general public.

The GLD took over the old role of the Hong Kong Government Printer, but unlike other modern day government printer the responsibility of government information on the internet. The Government of Hong Kong]] created the Office of the Covernment Chief Information OFficer or OGCIO. Since the handover, the Hong Kong government has been pushing for what it bills as e-Government. The role of the GLD is still important in serving those whom do not have access to the internet and services that still require printed material.

The GLD is the responsibility of the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, where as the OGCIO is under the Financial Secretary.
