Goulds, Newfoundland and Labrador
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goulds is a community and former town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, with a population of about 12, 000.
Located southwest of the city centre of St. John's, Goulds was a former town. In 1991, it was amalgamated with the town of Wedgewood Park into the city of St. John's.
Though both Wedgewood Park and Goulds have disincorporated, Goulds, unlike Wedgewood Park, is a rural community within the limits of the City of St. John's.
There are three schools in Goulds: Goulds Elementary for grades K-6, St. Kevin's Junior High School for grades 7-9, and St. Kevin's High School for grades 10-12.
