[edit] Notability of Mimi Imfurst
A tag has been placed on Mimi Imfurst, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Corvus cornix 05:39, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Mimi Imfurst
hi, please provide references for your claims on the article you wrote about Mimi Imfurst. Also you can access the articles talk page and contest the deletion there (click on the Discussion tab in the quickbar). In the meantime I have already removed the speedy deletion tag for you as I think you will be able to provide references easily if you give it some time. Slowbro 05:50, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you.
I keep telling you and your ally that if you want to recreate material that has been previously decided as not-notable, you need to go to WP:DRV. Otherwise, recreation of deleted material can be construed as disruption. Corvus cornix 06:25, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
- It was already decided at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mimi Imfurst. Recreations of such articles can be speedy deleted unless you provide new evidence. The subject's own websites are not considered reliable sources. Corvus cornix 06:27, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
THE ARTICLE IS NOTABLE! Its seems that this user has selected a lot of articles for Speedy deletion. Please review your history on Drag Performers in New York City to create a case for speedy deletion. Please notice that the artist MIMI IMFURST I created the article for is a staple in New York City and has been nominated for awards by many notible publications as well as national notability for his theatre pieces when they were protested by catholic extremist organizations- and put him up against Dan Brown for the DaVinci Code. Please feel free to google both Braden Chapman and Mimi Imfurst. I find it rediculous that this article has been deleted!
- If you are not interested in following the proper procedures, then there is no point in my continuing discussion with you. You have been repeatedly told that you need to list this at WP:DRV. Do that, and we can continue discussion. If you don't do that, then I will not respond to any further communications from you. Corvus cornix 06:32, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
I am sorry but I am a new user to Wikipedia and a lot of times the links to things with just acronyms are confusing to new users for a people's dictionary that was created on the basis on a free access to public knowledge is awefully confusing. I went to that link, but I do not know what to do when I get there. Pleae help. Thank you.
