The Gottleuba Dam is the second largest dam in Saxony. The concrete dam serves as a reservoir for supply of water for Pirna and provides flood protection, but energy production is small. The dam was built between 1965 and 1974 and is located between Bad Gottleuba and Erzgebirge. It was under construction in 1974 and was completed in 1976. It dams up the Gottleuba (Czech: Rybný potok) river.
