[edit] The Proper Name "Dairanger"
I was messing around with the logo for Dairanger that I saved from www.super-sentai.net, and I looked at the file's name. The file was saved as "dyranger_r13_c20.gif". Also, the page for Dairanger is linked as http://www.super-sentai.net/sentai/dyranger.html. Toei seems to be spelling ダイレンジャー in English as "Dyranger". This would make sense because of the show's connection to China and the various dynasties that existed there. "Dyranger" could be a shortening of "Dynasty Ranger". Super Sentai has also had Dynaman, as we know, which used the ダイ combination to approximate the syllable "dy".
This is just something to consider and discuss. I know it's enough to convince me that the official English title is "Dyranger", but then again, I haven't seen anything spelled out as "Dairanger" from official sources. Thanks guys! Star6phoenix9 17:46, 5 November 2007 (UTC)
- From other official sources, I have seen ダイレンジャー transcribed as "Dairanger." For "Dynaman", it is a reference to "Dynamite" (the series utilized several explosions). I have not really seen any usages of "Dyranger" other than super-sentai.net, but I have not made a thorough search.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 09:09, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Also make note that for Zyuranger, super-sentai.net uses "jyu" in the URLs for the Zyuranger materials, when Zyuranger was utilized on the props themselves.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 10:16, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- There's also this calendar that utilizes "Dairanger" (but also "Denziman," "Gorenger," and "Jacker Dengekitai")—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 10:29, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
- Good points. I also realized not too long ago that 大連王 begins with the same six kana syllables as ダイレンジャー, and that makes it more likely that ダイレンジャー refers to Great Ranger or whatever translation suits 大 on whatever day. Thanks. Star6phoenix9 (talk) 12:08, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gorma Tribe Article
Back then I made the Gorma Tribe article to shorten this article, however someone by the name of Luigi30 removed it for some reason. Now I ask, do we need the Gorma Tribe Article? Super Ranger (talk) 19:21, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
