Gospel Oak railway station is in North London in the borough of Camden. It is on the North London Line and is also one of the termini for the Gospel Oak to Barking (Goblin) line. The station is in Travelcard Zone 2, and is managed by London Overground, as are all passenger trains serving the station.

The station is raised well above street level and has no lift service or disabled access. The North London Line is served by two platforms (pictured) whereas the Goblin line is presently a single line and platform. Freight services to and from Barking are served by separate through lines to the north of the station, bypassing this stand-alone platform.

Transport for London have long-term plans to run through services between Clapham Junction and Barking, which will require new platforms to be built at Gospel Oak on the route that connects the Barking Line with the North London Line. Full electrification of the line to Barking has been ruled out in the short-term, but remains a long-term option.
