On Gnome it states "The British children's comic The Beano featured a character called Gordon Gnome, who was a garden gnome living next to a pond. An animated series is under production for the BBC which will air in 2005."

Is this true? If so, it should be added to this article.

Nope, someone confused this with a late 1980s Beano strip. The two aren't related except for the names. BillyH 14:11, 20 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Why has the US airing been made more prominent than the British?

As far as I am aware, this program is made by the BBC, in Britain, using British people's voices. It is currently being shown in the UK.

From the article, I can see that it will soon be shown in the US.

To me, this makes it more of a UK show than a US, surely?

So why was the UK removed from the stub and US added to the categories? I don't object to the page mentioning the show in the States, but surely this doesn't mean removing references to the UK?

How many categories should an article have? Should a UK category be added too, or the US category removed?

Can we please agree on the stub category before anyone else changes it? Looking at the article's history, it has had 6 edits. 1. Created (by me) without a stub indicator at all, though I admit it should have had one. 2. Stub template added with UK-tv category. 3. Stub category changed to TV. (when the article was Americanised and prompted my outburst above) 4. Stub category changed to UK-tv. 5. Stub category not changed! 6. Stub category changed to TV.

If you've got any opinions on which of the two stub categories it should be in (or even if it should be in a different stub category all together) then please state them here. We will try to reach consensus. Are there guidelines for such things?

It's a UK show, so it should be given a UK-tv-stub. Simple. BillyH 14:16, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
