Gorham Fayette High School

Gorham Fayette High School is a public high school in Fayette, Ohio, United States. It is the only high school in the Gorham Fayette Local Schools district. Their mascot is the Eagle. They are members of the Buckeye Border Conference. GFHS is a small rural school in Fulton County.

The current school building was originally the Fayette Normal College of Business and Music and was established in 1882. The current high school was established in 1928. The building will finish its 80th year before demolition in 2008, to make way for a new school facility.

The motto of Gorham Fayette High School is to "Do it the Eagle Way." Doing it the Eagle Way means to: 1-Do What's Right; 2-Do The Best You Can; 3-Treat Others Like You Want To Be Treated

Athletics at Gorham Fayette include Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball, Track, Cross Country, and Golf.

Due to contamination issues from a nearby factory, a new K-12 school building for the district is currently under construction. The new school will be opened in Fall 2008 and it is located on the south side of the village. The current high school building will be demolished due to the contamination issues and the future of the current Franklin Elementary building is uncertain.
