Gorgone (Gohr-gon-eh) is a family name originating in Sicily in the province of Messina. The name, itself, is believed to be an Italian translation of the Gorgons from Greek mythology. A plethora of Gorgones maintain to have some root in Messina, and more specifically, the mountain town of Capri Leone (ME).
