Gordon Richards Stakes

The Gordon Richards Stakes is a Group 3 flat horse race in the United Kingdom for four-year-old and above thoroughbreds. It is run over a distance of 1 mile 2 furlongs and 7 yards (2,018 m) at Sandown Park Racecourse in late April.
It was first run in 1963 and was originally known as the Westbury Stakes. It was renamed in 1987 in honour of Sir Gordon Richards, Champion Jockey a record 26 times and rider of a record 4,870 winners of British flat races. The race is currently sponsored by the Bet365 bookmaking firm.
