Gordon A. Smith

Gordon Appelbe Smith, born June 18, 1919 in East Brighton, England, is a Canadian painter, printmaker, sculptor, and teacher living in West Vancouver, BC.
He was named a member of the Order of Canada in 1996. He is an Education Professor Emeritus at the University of British Columbia (UBC).
His works are in the collections of the National Gallery of Art in Ottawa, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. and in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, England.
