Gordiana

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gordiana (flourished 3rd century) was the only daughter and youngest child of the prominent, wealthy and noble woman Antonia Gordiana and her father was an unnamed Roman Senator, who died before 238. Her elder brother was Roman Emperor Gordian III.

Her maternal grandfather was the Roman Emperor Gordian I and her possible maternal grandmother was the granddaughter of Greek Sophist, consul and tutor Herodes Atticus. Her maternal uncle was Roman Emperor Gordian II and her sister-in-law was the Roman Empress Tranquillina. Unfortunately, very little is known about her.
