Gopalganj is an administrative district in the state of Bihar in India. The district headquarters are located in the town of Gopalganj, and the district is a part of Saran Division. The district occupies an area of 2033 km² and has a population of 2,149,343 (as of 2001).

The main industry in the district consists of sugar mills and rice mills, whilst agriculture mainly includes paddy fields,sugarcane,wheat and maize.
