[edit] AFD
AfD discussion now logged at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Log/2006 April 13
I'm having trouble taking this article seriously. I can't see that the Google Generations' difficulty in using another search engine because they're used to Google's interface is any "new" discovery in human behavior, or even noteworthy to mention. We (humans) have always experienced a slight discomfort when we switch from something familiar to something not familiar - not just with search engine templates. Also, as far as Google Gen's having an edge in the workforce because of access to technology is also not believable. The younger gens coming up have been exposed to computer/information all their life as well. I do not believe they will be handicapped in any way. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to get a factual sense of the term "Google Generation." Can someone else put their two cents in here? The article needs to be Wikified and I'm stuck until there is another opinion. Brina700 23:58, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
- I have nominated it for deletion. It seems like a just-made-up term to me, but perhaps defenders will spring to the fore and prove me wrong. - DavidWBrooks 00:23, 13 April 2006 (UTC)

- My first reaction on reading the article was strong delete. However, a search for "google generation" on Google" shows 183,000 results and I've completely rewritten the article, using some of this research to create a new stub (and with none of the original article text). The term "Google generation" is even in use by the British Library, so if it gets deleted now, it's only going to be recreated later. Tyrenius 02:04, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
Merge with google's article? I want the time of my life back from reading this article; it was completely vacuous. At the very least it needs some sort of definition of what a "generation" is, and how this fits the definition. Or would that be original research? Themusicgod1 23:21, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
- alternatively, It could be merged with plagarism, or one of its major proponents if they accomplish anything, or something. Themusicgod1 23:31, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AFD vote - no consensus
The AFD vote was a wild mix of keep, delete and merge, so the article is left as is. - DavidWBrooks 00:48, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Merge
It seems that this is just another term for internet generation and should be merged with the other article. Is there really any reason for this term to have its own article? -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 04:37, 19 October 2006 (UTC)
- I would tend to keep it separate (though I don't feel that strongly about it). I think it is later than th

Is this a pejorative/derogatory/insulting term? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 11:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
