Gonzalo Fernández

Gonzalo Fernández was the name of several Castilian noblemen, and refers also to a Uruguayan political figure:
- Gonzalo Fernández of Burgos, lord of Lara and count of Burgos, father of count Fernán González, ordered the construction of the Monastery of San Pedro de Arlanza.
- Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba (1453 - 1515) known as el Gran Capitán, was a Castilian general and statesman.
- Gonzalo Fernández de Oviedo y Valdés (1478 - 1557) was a Castilian writer and historian.
- Gonzalo Fernández (Uruguayan politician), is the Foreign Minister of Uruguay
