Gomalia Moore, 1879 is a monotypic genus of hesperiid butterfly.[1]Gomalia elma, commonly known as the Marbled Skipper or African Mallow Skipper, is found in Africa and parts of Asia.[2]

In Africa, Gomalia elma is found in the Cape region, Orange Free State, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and other parts of Africa. In Asia, the butterfly ranges from Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Baluchistan and India.[2]
