According to the title's history on NWA's official website, he's officially recognized as a 9 time NWA World Heavyweight Champion. He did win the title a 10th time, however, WCW withdrew from the National Wrestling Alliance in August of 1993 I believe, which resulted in the NWA withdrawing recognition of Flair's 10th reign with their world championship a month later. The NWA, like other promotions, can choose to alter the lineages of championships under their control if they choose to. Doesn't matter if he won the belt itself 20 times, if the promotion does't recognize it, then it's not an official reign. Odin's Beard 02:27, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
