Golriz Hashemi entered the Tehran Conservatory of Music at the age of nine. She studied piano with Ophelia Kombajian and after graduation she joined the National Radio and television Music School, teaching piano for many years. She was also a member of the jury at the Tehran Youth Music Festival and the Music Department of Fine Arts University.
She is the most active pianist in Iran and has performed numerous recitals.
