Golmaal Returns is a forthcoming Bollywood film directed by Rohit Shetty. The film is a sequel to the 2006 film, Golmaal with Ajay Devgan, Tusshar Kapoor and Arshad Warsi reprising their roles and Shreyas Talpade reprising the role originally played by Sharman Joshi. Kareena Kapoor, Anjana Sukhani, Amrita Arora and Celina Jaitley are new additions to the cast. Produced by Dhillin Mehta under Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision LTD, the film is currently in its filming stage, and is scheduled to release on October 24, 2008.[1]

Ajay Devgan will be seen paired opposite Kareena Kapoor after their previous film, Omkara released in 2006.[2] Amongst the rest of the multi-starrer cast, actress Amrita Arora will be seen opposite Arshad Warsi[2] whilst Celina Jaitley and Anjana Sukhani opposite Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor respectively.[3]

Kareena Kapoor will be playing a housewife addicted to saas-bahu serials, who begins suspecting her husband, played by Devgan, of adultery; her role is reported to have been inspired from Ekta Kapoor.[4] On the other hand, Tusshar Kapoor, who continues his mute act from the prequel, will be seen playing a struggling mute barber[5] and Kapoor's brother.[4] Jaitley will be playing a half-Indian, half-Afghani housewife[6] while Arora will be playing Devgan's sister.[7]

Originally expected to commence shooting for the film in Dubai on a forty day schedule,[8] the cast shot for the film in Goa on a twenty day schedule,[9][10] and later continued shooting at Filmistan Studios in Mumbai.[11] In April, the cast will continue with the filming in South Africa.[11]
