Gollum's Song

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Gollum's Song" is the end theme of Peter Jackson's 2002 film The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and is the theme for Gollum, one of the film's characters. The song's music is by Howard Shore, and the lyrics are by Fran Walsh. The version in the film is sung by Emilíana Torrini. The song was to have been performed by Björk, whose name actually appeared in the closing credits of the film as shown in theaters; Björk had to decline because of her pregnancy, however, and Torrini was credited in the DVD.

This track is also titled "Long Ways To Go Yet", which is its formal name in The Complete Recordings. This version of the track includes additional instrumental music at the end, making it a medley of themes to cap off the album.

Artist Geoff Keezer has released a jazz piano version of the song.
