From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Goldmann is one of the largest publishing houses in Germany.
Founded on 21 June 1922 by Wilhelm Goldmann in Leipzig, the first works to be published were the detective stories of Edgar Wallace.
Goldmann published German translations of a number of Doctor Who novelisations in the 1980s, mostly stories involving the Daleks.
Today the publishing house is an imprint of Random House, a subsidiary of Bertelsmann.
