Goldenrod (color)

Goldenrod is a color that resembles the goldenrod plant. A Crayola crayon with this name and color, although a lighter version, was created in 1958.

Dark goldenrod is a color that resembles the color Goldenrod, but is darker. The lighter form of Goldenrod is sometimes known as Flax, but is slightly different in color from flax.

It has been suggested that the average skin color of the so-called "yellow" or Mongoloid race would be more accurately described as being goldenrod.
