Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) is the largest chain of cinemas in Malaysia. The biggest cinema is located in Mid Valley Megamall. It houses an 18 screen cinema and has 2899 seats, the most in Malaysia.

There are altogether 20 GSC's in Malaysia including East Malaysia. This includes Mid Valley Megamall, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, 1 Utama, Berjaya Times Square, Summit USJ, Cheras Leisure Mall, IOI Mall, Selayang Capitol, Shaw Centrepoint, Terminal 1 in Seremban, Mahkota Parade in Malacca, Berjaya Megamall in Kuantan, Pelangi Leisure Mall and Summit Batu Pahat in Johor, Plaza Bukit Mertajam, Gurney Plaza and Queensbay Mall in Penang, Central Square in Sungai Petani, Ipoh Parade in Ipoh, Kota Kinabalu in Sabah and the latest one in Pavilion which is the latest mall in Kuala Lumpur. This latest GSC boasts the best Gold Class of all. In addition, GSC will soon open (Q3 2008) in Kuching, Sarawak.

The first GSC to operate in Malaysia was opened in Kota Kinabalu on 14 July 1981. The latest addition to the GSC chain in Malaysia was Queensbay Mall in Penang opened on 26 January 2007.

The GSC in Gurney Plaza is the first multiplex outside the Klang Valley and the first to house a Premiere Class screen followed by Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur. Mid Valley, 1 Utama and Pavilion (which boasts of the best) house Gold Class screens.

There are also international movies shown in selected GSC cinemas. Currently, there are only 3 International Screens in Malaysia. They are in Mid Valley, 1 Utama and Gurney Plaza.

The tickets are RM13 on the weekdays, and RM13 on the weekends. GSC offers "Special Wednesday Rates", selling tickets for only RM7. Tickets for Premiere and Gold Class are more expensive because patrons are served directly by GSC staff.

All GSC cinemas have concessions that sell popcorn, soft drinks and other snacks. There are 2 Glitter cafés in Utama and Gurney Plaza and 1 gift shop in Mid Valley where one can purchase merchandise.
