Gojko Kačar (Serbian Cyrillic: Гојко Качар, born January 26, 1987 in Novi Sad, Serbia, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian football player currently playing for Hertha BSC Berlin as a central defender or defensive midfielder, but he can play virtually any position in centre or right side of the pitch.
Kačar played for FK Vojvodina's youth academy before breaking into the first team. He has agreed to continue career in Hertha BSC Berlin. Transfer fee of 3 milion euros makes Kačar the most expensive player in the history of FK Vojvodina . Kačar was selected to play for the Serbia u21s at the 2007 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship in the Netherlands. He only played one game against England, losing 0-2.
Serbia's Spanish coach Javier Clemente named 10 uncapped players in his 20-man squad for the rescheduled Euro 2008 Group A qualifier at home to Kazakhstan on Saturday 24th November 2007, which includes Kačar. [1]
