The AMA Coordinator Election ends and Alex756 is elected as coordinator for the Association of Members' Advocates.
Wikipedia:Facebook opens. The facebook is a collection of pictures of Wikipedians.
A new WikiProject: "WikiProject Cryptography" has been formed to help coordinate the writing of cryptography articles.
Wikipedia:Naming policy poll continues to determine how geographic articles should be named (more common name or official name). Please vote there.
Phase I of WikiProject Elements is complete: Every element in the periodic table has been expanded into complete articles and has had tables of properties placed into them. The project was started on April 27, 2002.
Danny has become a member of the mediation committee. Congratulations!
Earl Andrew, Gentgeen, Hcheney, Michael Snow and XJamRastafire have become administrators.
A new WikiProject: "WikiProject Books" has been formed to help coordinate writing reviews and publishing history of fiction and nonfiction books.

Arbitration committee matters continuing this week: Wik2, Mav v. 168, JRR Trollkien, and Paul Vogel.
Anthony DiPierro's case is completed April 25th. It was referred by Jimbo February 19th, and accepted (solely to deal with allegations relating to his behaviour on VfD) on April 4th. He is instructed to "refrain from playing around and making provocative edits on VfD and associated pages". All other matters regarding alleged trolling and revert wars are referred to mediation.
The cases of Wik2 and Paul Vogel have reached the stage of proposed findings of fact and remedies which the arbitrators are begining to vote on.
