Goicea is a village in Dolj County, Oltenia, Romania. Documenara before the first attestation of common dates from the year 1575. It consists of three villages: Small Goicea, Goicea Sea and Popoviceni, which were united in the year 1968 to form the current commune. Goicea certificate is the first settlement of historical oltenia.
