Pointing out every time the pages say series doesn't help. It's the fact that they use the word season as well, and more the fact that the word seasons makes more clear that it is plural than the word series. —JD[^{don't talk}|_email] 19:49, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Australian English is Commonwealth English. Right off the Commonwealth English page:

"Commonwealth English is a recently-coined collective term for a collection of dialects of the English language mostly based on British English used in the Commonwealth of Nations and many ex-Commonwealth countries where English is at least a common second language. These include: Australian English, British English, Caribbean English, Canadian English (but see below), Hiberno-English (Irish English), Hong Kong English, Indian English (and the English spoken in adjoining countries), formal Malaysian English, New Zealand English, formal Singapore English (but not colloquial Singlish), and South African English.

How many times something uses one word over another isn't the point of this. The fact that something uses that word at all is the point; and the official website uses that particular word more than once, and has done in other seasons also. If the website never used the word season, I would see the point in changing it on Wikipedia, but it does use the word; it even refers to Big Brother 6 UK as a season, not a series. —JD[^{don't talk}|_email] 20:09, 3 August 2006 (UTC)

Yes, like I said, they do use both, but my point is that "series" is used more, and naming conventions state series over season. Wikiproject BB even says:

I didn't originally decide on that, and if and when there was a vote or something to decide on the names of articles, I wasn't even involved - I probably wasn't even on Wikipedia then. That applies to article names, which you've seen I've tried to change twice; not to article references. There's no reason to change it; changing it doesn't improve it. Oh, in the United States we play differently than in the UK. All the nominating is done by one person, the Head of Household. The voting that is actually done by all of the houseguests is for eviction. The reason being is that after season 1, the U.S. had their public voting rights revoked due to the fact that we made awful decisions for evictions. FireSpike 21:44, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

It may not have been clear to the IP at the time that the list was in alphabetical order; I didn't notice that. It's actually quite possible that the IP was intentionally reordering them, looking at the fact that they moved the UK and Australia to the top of the list. Anyway, unless this IP has made such edits in the past and is doing them only to be a nuisance, it's not a good idea to label edits as vandalism, and I don't see how this edit could be classed as such based on WP:VAND. _{talk to} JD ^{wants e-mail} 20:16, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Your use of excessive punctuation implies yelling; please calm down. You asked for confirmation that America Plus existed, not that One Tree Hill was played on it in Pakistan, which I provided. I didn't add the information, and there are not references provided for every single international channel which is listed there. If you would like to ask for them, then that is your prerogative. As for the episode listings, what I meant was, it's silly to have two numbers in the infobox, whether it's 66 or 67, and to argue which one it should be; just pick one and stick with it. Hi, Godgoddingham333. According to this page, you are a member of the Big Brother WikiProject. It would appear, perhaps because Big Brother isn't airing in Australia, the United Kingdom, or the United States at the moment, that activity on Big Brother-related articles has died down quite a bit. Between seasons is a good time to be editing Big Brother-related articles as this is probably the only time where Wikipedians can focus on the articles that seem to have been forgotten about without too many Big Brother-related distractions. There are a few articles just waiting to be worked on, and proposed article changes on the Project talk page that have received little feedback. Nobody is forced to do anything as a Project member, but please try to edit whatever Big Brother articles you can and help with the WikiProject's aim - to make the Big Brother articles the best that they can be! Hello, Please stop removing the images from the page One Tree Hill (TV series) - I'm sure you can appreciate that it takes a lot of time and effort to upload these images and having to constantly re-upload them every time they are removed is quite tedious. Hi. The first thing I'll say about One Tree Hill (TV series) is that I would never do anything like that on Wikipedia. I can't find a single image there where we are actually discussing that image. There's no discussion about the shot, no discussion about the appearance of the character, no reason whatsoever that we need these images for the reader to make sense of the article. The huge DVD boxes images are particularly weird. We could easily take every image out of that article and the reader would understand it just as well. The only difference would be that it would be less visually appealing, and, "our article would be bland without this", which seems to be the point here, fails Wikipedia:Fair use. If Image:Lucas Scott.jpg is any example, there are even more problems -- we don't have a real source, and we're not crediting the copyright holder. The only thing correct is the resolution of the image. I'll note that articles about television programs in general tend to be amongst the worst offenders when it comes to making spurious fair use claims. I suggest that it might be a good idea to start a centralised discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject Television about trying to come up with sensible guidelines that actually take WP:FUC into account. "No unfree images in gallery or table format" would be a good rule of thumb... Jkelly 21:53, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Ann Hamilton (producer), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. WikiProject Big Brother Newsletter Volume I, No. 2 - May 2008 About The WikiProject Big Brother newsletter is a monthly newsletter regarding the project. Big Brother On Air There are currently four editions of Big Brother on air.: Big Brother (Albania) Big Brother 8 (Germany) Big Brother 8 (Australia) Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus Future Big Brother editions There are three confirmed editions of Big Brother to air during the summer of 2008: Big Brother 9 (United Kingdom) (late May/early June) Big Brother 10 (United States) (July 13, 2008) Big Brother 3 (Africa) (August 24, 2008) Project objectives Vandalism - Current seasons of Big Brother are prone to have major vandalism when an edition is running. Help prevent vandalism across all Big Brother articles by reverting it and leaving the appropriate warnings on talk pages. Country-specific articles - See the next column. Nomination/Voting History Tables - Many articles do not follow the guidelines of Nominations table and Voting history table section. All nomination/voting history tables should follow the basic guideline on the main project page (Colors, terms, etc.) but should be adjusted for each country/region. Country-specific Please help us improve the country-specific articles by providing references, reception details, and production details. Please don't add trivia, quotes, or original research to these articles. Aside from Big Brother (U.S.), Big Brother (UK), Big Brother Australia, and Pinoy Big Brother most Big Brother articles do not follow the standard outline set out by the project. Most articles list statistic information from worldofbigbrother.com and trivia. Assessment Scale You will see Assessment scale information on each of the Big Brother article talk pages. The article will be rated according to the Assessment scale. Please consider looking at the status of the article to improve it. If the article has changed and the rating is outdated, you can change it or bring it up on the WikiProject talkpage. We are trying to improve these articles, hopefully bring some to good or featured status. We would like your help reaching this goal. We hope to bring main articles, Big Brother (TV series), Big Brother (UK), Big Brother (US), etc. to featured status. Please help us improve these article, based on the peer reviews and your knowledge of Wikipedia featured articles. WP:Task Force Heard of Wikipedia: Task Force? A task force is a non-independent subgroup of a larger WikiProject that covers some defined part of the WikiProject's scope. Task forces for WikiProject Big Brother can be used to focus on a specific country/region's Big Brother. A task force for example that would focus on Big Brother (U.S.) related articles could rely on WikiProject Big Brother for article structure information while providing more focus and customized guidelines for Big Brother (U.S.). Similar task forces can be created for Big Brother (UK), Big Brother Australia, etc. Newsletter notice After this newsletter, all newsletters will be bi-monthly instead of monthly.
