Godzilla vs. Frankenstein
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Godzilla vs. Frankenstein (Gojira tai Frakenshtein) is the title to a cancelled Japanese film based on the Toho Film's giant monster Godzilla and Universal Studios' Frankenstein.
The film was originally conceived as a sequel to the film King Kong, and a script was written by animator Willis O'Brien featuring King Kong battling Frankenstein. As he could not find an American buyer for his script, he sold it to Toho Studios who re-conceived the project recasting their box-office star Godzilla.
It was scheduled to be released in 1964 and was planned to feature Godzilla and the Toho version of Frankenstein. But Toho thought the movie would not make any sense because the JSDF are trying to get Godzilla to kill Frankenstein because they are afraid Frankenstein will start eating humans. So the movie was replaced by Mothra vs. Godzilla (1964). Frankenstein was cut out and used for Frankenstein Conquers the World
