Godwin Bradbeer

Godwin Bradbeer was born Dunedin, New Zealand in 1950. After studies in Melbourne for a Bachelor of Education in 1984 he earned a Master of Arts in fine art painting in 1994. He has lectured since 1985 in Melbourne, Australia and exhibited world-wide with many solo exhibitions since 1977. In 1995 he was appointed as resident artist at the National Gallery of Victoria. Bradbeer was the winner of the Dobell Drawing Prize (Art Gallery of New South Wales) in 1998. He is represented in all major Australian public and private art collections. Bradbeer is currently lecturing at RMIT School of Art as Acting Discipline Leader of Drawing.
