Godot Waits For Homeland Security
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Godot Waits For Homeland Security is a play written by Martin Kimeldorf of Washington DC, USA in 2003.
This play is not a prequel or sequel of the Waiting For Godot written by Samuel Beckett. It consists of only two characters - AmbiMan and ProtoMan; and it sets a time when USA has been invaded by those who have been attacked earlier by USA. The text sharply criticizes the Homeland Security Department established by the President George W. Bush. It expresses fear that the Department has been established and is being used to suppress the voice of the opposition. Besides, the play places questions against war-monging attitude of the developed nations.
It has been produced by THAW (Theaters Against War), Theatre Formation Paribartak etc.
