The Godfrey Burley Group was set up in 1996 by East Yorkshire Motor Services director Godfrey Burley by taking over East Yorkshire Travel and National Holidays (Coaches). Godfrey was one of two directors who owned EYMS at the time, together with Peter Shipp. It contained depots at Kingston-upon-Hull and Stockton-on-Tees. The group was sold to Wallace Arnold.
