Goderich is a town in the Western Area of Sierra Leone and a suburb of Freetown, the nation's capital. It's population was estimated at 32,768 (2004 census). Goderich lies just 12 miles to central Freetown. The Krio are by far the largest ethnic group in the town.

The ethnic makeup of Goderich put the Krio at 70% and 30% from other ethnic groups. The Krio language is the most widely spoken language in the town and is understood by 100% of the town residents.
